Board of Trustees

Mr. Cory Anderson is Vice President of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation (WRF) where he is responsible for managing the Foundation’s Program Team and leading the Foundation’s grant-making efforts. Prior to join WRF, he spent seven years with the Annie E. Casey Foundation in Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked to support state-level child advocacy organizations.  He was also manager of partner development at the Forum for Youth Investment in Washington, D.C., engaging national organizations in partnerships designed to strengthen youth work.  Mr. Anderson currently also serves on the board of directors for Grant-makers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, and formerly served on the Health Policy Board of the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement.  He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in theology from Anderson University.  Mr. Anderson is Chairman of the Board.

Ms. Jocelyn Campbell is  an attorney with over twenty years of experience with the firm of Rudolph Friedmann LLP.  Prior to joining forces with Rudolph Friedmann LLP, Jocelyn worked for several years managing her own firm where she concentrated on real estate law and the representation of public charter schools and non-profits. She also served many clients in the areas of procurement, contracts, and litigation. Jocelyn is a Title Agent for two national title companies and has represented major lenders, buyers, and sellers in real estate mortgage transactions for many years. Jocelyn works with both residential and commercial property investors, developers and on condominium projects.  Her real estate work with charter schools includes the commercial purchase and sale of public school properties.  Ms. Campbell serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Board.

Ms. Lisa Clay is the Communications and Member Services Manager for the Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP).  She previously served as the Director of Marketing and Research for Charter School Support Services, Inc (CSSS). Prior to joining CSSS, Ms. Clay managed the national and local marketing efforts as well as supported developing new charters for a national charter management organization. She has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and communications. She holds a BA in Spanish and Political Science from the University of Rochester and a MS in Multinational Commerce from Boston University.  Ms. Clay is the Treasurer of the Board.

Ms. Lina Fritz is the Senior Director of Program Innovation at OneGoal, a 3-year college persistence program.  Her job is to pilot new innovations that will improve the model and expand the program, allowing OneGoal to serve more students better.   Before this position, she served a dual role as Competitive Grants Writer and Education Consultant for Lighthouse Academies Inc.  In this role, she secured more than $3.1M in grant awards and designed and delivered professional development to school leaders and teachers.  Ms. Fritz was a founding teacher at Bronzeville Lighthouse Charter School in Chicago and later became the Director of Instruction  where she trained, coached and supported teachers in the instructional program, achieving an increase in student proficiency from 52% to 77% on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test.  She also served as Title 1 Coordinator and Reading Intervention Specialist and taught first, second, and third grade as well as early childhood (infant to three-year-olds).  Ms. Fritz is a Teach For America alumni.  She holds a BA from the University of Chicago.  Ms. Fritz is the Secretary of the Board.

Mr. Richard Marks is the Founder and President of Daedalus Projects. Mr. Marks founded the company in 1989 and has overseen more than 5,000 estimates and more than $750 million in construction, including projects that have received a variety of awards for excellence in design and/or sustainability. Mr. Marks holds an A.B. from Harvard College and is a certified Owner’s Project Manager and a Certified Public Purchasing Official in Massachusetts.

Mr. Michael Ronan is the Executive Director of College Ready Now.  He has served as the CEO of several national organizations that have developed and operated over 125 public charter schools. Mr. Ronan currently provides consulting services to private and public schools through MB Ronan Consulting LLC.  Mr. Ronan serves as the Executive Director of the Board.
