College Ready Now® (CRN) was founded in 2009 to help support the transition of students in high need communities from high school to college. CRN is a national nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status. We provide “last dollar” college scholarships to students who live in poverty and have achieved academic success. All CRN scholarship recipients attend a college or university. Scholarship recipients are required to participate in CRN’s mentoring program through the enrollment in their second year of college.
CRN pays out scholarships in equal amounts each semester unless the student’s financial circumstances require a different payment schedule. CRN works with the student’s preferred college / university to ensure that CRN scholarship dollars do not result in the loss of other grants or aid.
Each $ 5,000 raised will allow CRN to support one student in the transition from high school to college.
CRN is an all-volunteer organization. 100% of the funds contributed are used to fund scholarships. Funds for operational expenses are donated and not comingled with scholarship funds.
To identify underserved high school seniors in low income communities who are in need of financial support to make their first year of college affordable.
We will help transform the future of young adults by helping them successfully transition from high school to college, and then on to a successful career.
